Trying for H1B visa? Court order against Trump may help
News illustration

Remember the $100,000 fee for H1B visas that Trump had ordered last year? It became a deterrent for US companies to hire Indians on H1B visas since they had to shell out the huge sum.

On Monday, a US federal court struck down the fee, calling it 'unlawful'.

This means the H1B visa fees could go back to the earlier rates of $2000-$5000.

What's in it for you?

  • RELIEF FOR INDIANS: Around 70 per cent of the H-1B visa holders in the United States are Indians. This could bring huge relief for Indians looking to work there.
  • MORE LEGAL CHALLENGES But will this last long? Trump administration could challenge the order, as per some reports.
